Match Safe

I found this little treasure in the back of a cabinet at my Mom's house. It needs to be cleaned up a bit but looks pretty good. You can see on the side an opening where the box shows through so you can strike the matches.

my grandmother had one in a lovely shade of green that hung by the stove on her wall for years. i don't know what happened to it, but seeing yours made me remember. thanks!

Gosh thats adorable! I love the colors and the design. So cute and could be used for so many things...Makes me wonder whats hiding in the back of peoples cabinets and closets everywhere!

How fun is that wonderful treasure and really in good condition. A friend has one in her quilt shop that she uses for paper clips...it hangs on the wall beside her train case cash register. Thanks for sharing for VTT.

I have one of those laying around somewhere. That was all the go many years ago. You still find them, but they are not vintage.
