Anniversary Tea Cup

I went to an auction Wednesday for the first time in months. Auctions are so much fun; digging for treasures, the thrill of winning the bid, getting bargains! This anniversary tea cup was one of my wins. I also got some glassware, linens and some interesting things in a junk lot (they called it five boxes of "knick knacks").

Be sure to head over to Colorado Lady's blog to check out the other entries for this weeks Vintage thingies Thursday.

That is an adorable cup and saucer set! It's quite a find. I've never been to an auction but it sounds like fun!

Love the cup and saucer you were fortunate to find. I love auctions too. They will start here pretty often when warm weather arrives. Thank you for visiting my blog.

So you are also a crazy cat lady! Love the teacup & saucer. That is the type of things I look for at yardsales.

I remember going to farm auctions with my Grandpa and watching all the old men bidding on "surprise boxes" They often didn't know what was in them, so their goal was to either get a really good deal, or make someone else end up paying a lot of money for a box of junk. In either case they went away happy.

It looks like you made out ok.

What a lovely cup and saucer! I've never been to an auction, don't think I can handle having to bid for something and then losing it!
