Vintage Thingies

This past saturday, I went with a friend to the quilt show. There were so many vendors and displays that it took us six hours to walk through. At one booth I found these vintage feed sacks. I had never seen any before and only hesitated a little at paying $6.95 each for the two with some flaws and $10.95 for the one with no flaws. Then I found them at two more booths but the prices ranged from $40 to $50 EACH! I was shocked. I like them but wouldn't pay that much, would you? Each measures about 36"x45".

Feed sacks are neat, but, no I would not pay that much for them. And to think, we got them free back in the old days with the feed we bought.

I love the one with the roses on it! It reminds me of something but right now it must be to late that I just can't remember what.

There is no way I would have paid $50 for them! They are pretty but not for that price.

I don't think I would pay that much either. Yours look really pretty though. I guess it makes me understand my mother telling me she had feed sack dresses. I imagined burlap. those are so pretty.

Those are very cool! I'm with you on the $40-$50, though! That's a bit much! I'm glad you got yours for a good price!

I think you got a great deal on the feed sacks. I've never seen them myself, but I've heard they fetch a pretty big price. I am a quilter and I would love to have one to add to my stash collection. Maybe one day :-)
