Fun Finds

As I mentioned in my last post, I went to an auction on wednesday. Here is a photo of the two glass lots I bought. Unless the weather is bad, I unpack all my auction boxes outside (have found bugs before). I only had to throw away three pieces that were too badly damaged to be salvaged. The tall green glasses remind me of the 70s. Didn't every household have some of them?

Fun Finds

This covered wagon is actually a salt and pepper shaker. I have been helping an older friend clean and sort. She said she started collecting S&P shakers as a child after she saw her cousin's collection. She bought the covered wagon set on her honeymoon in 1952 in Colorado Springs.

The older basket I found at a garage sale will be going into the store soon. The cat figurine by Kaiser will go to the store or on eBay. And I finally found one of Daisy's cards at the store (so I had to buy two, one for myself and one for a friend who loves Daisy too)!

Fun Friday Finds!

Marilyn and I went to a couple yard sales today. They were both advertised as "antique dealers moving". And we got some great stuff.

Fun friday finds!

My friend Marilyn and I went to a family run estate sale yesterday. Here are the fun things I came home with.

I pick up zippers whenever I find them for a friend who makes sewing kits for a mission in Africa. The mission is teaching women and young girls to support themselves by learning how to sew, embroider, knit etc.
