I remember watching her get dressed to go out and thinking that she looked so fancy with her sparkly jewelry. In her dresser was the fabulous pair of Rhinestone clip on earrings. And the red tin was something she used to hold sewing pins when I was younger. It originally held "Madame Butterfly Brand Pure Silk Ribbon" for an IBM tabulating.

Hankies were a regular in our house :) I remember getting them as Christmas gifts some years, too!
I always look for hankies. Great for laying around, crafting, and i am going to make some baby hats out of them now.
blessings and thanks for coming by.

Wow great treasures! I really like the tin! :)
I am totally loving these treasures from your mom!!!
So pretty, all of them!
What wonderful treasures and stories! I've often thought that I should photograph all the little treasures and stories I have from my family and put them into one of those photobooks you can buy online to save for future generations. Wouldn't it be fun to preserve and read the stories!
What awesome treasures - the goodies and the memories. :)
I love that little red tin!
I DO love old linens of any use, and your hanky is a real treasure.
I loved all you vintage things today. I have several hankies that belonged to my mother. These are treasures you should keep.

I love those earrings. You could use them as hairclips, too.
I think it's so wonderful that you got to know a little bit more about your Mother, while going through her dresser! That ring is beautiful, and so are the earrings and the hankies. And that tin is spectacular!
Happy VTT!

I love vintage Hankies....I have several and always look for them when I am treasure hunting. Have a great weekend and a wonderful VTT!
The lace edging on that hankie is lovely.
Hi Debbie, my mom's dresser drawers always had treasures in them. Little things she tucked away for who knows when. She always had lemon soap in her drawers and they always smelled wonderful.
Your mom's hankies and the ring is so sweet. The memories they bring to you is the best thing of all.
Hugs, Jeanne
The red tin is beautiful!
My daughter collects hankies. Some are so lovely. I'm just getting around to visiting the VTT blogs. It's always so fun to see what everyone is showing.

The clip on's are beautiful. I've tried to wear my grandmother's before and they hurt so badly, I couldn't. How on earth did they wear them?
OH! My mom had stuff like that and it brings back the best memories.
Beautiful old things!
I have a half dozen hankies from my grandmother and they are so precious to me. She embroidered violets or sayings on some of them too.
Thanks for visiting the Quimper blog. The faience colors are strong and beautiful, just what attracted me in the first place 30 years ago!
Beautiful hankies...I too remember my mother's rhinestone jewelry-such glamour!
I know what these things mean to you. They will mean even more in a few years. Hold them dear. They will make wonderful memories.
