Processing

Looking at all the "lots" and then buying them are by far the
most fun part of this addiction. And then there's the processing!
The items have to be sorted into two piles; going into the
booth and going to the thrift store. Then anything going into
the booth has to be cleaned, tagged and packed so it doesn't
get broken on the way. These are some of the treasures I
found at two auctions this past weekend. My resolution is
to be like Lisa and get the processed and into the booth
within days after I buy them instead of stashing them in
my garage like I have been. Happy New Year.

Get those doilies out of boxes and drawers!

This is a simple way to enjoy that beautiful doily you may have picked up at a garage sale or inherited from a family member. My friend Connie made this for me by simply mounting the doily on matboard with glue dots and putting it in a frame. It is now a beautiful art piece for me to enjoy!

Ready for the store

These vintage handkerchiefs are washed, ironed, tagged and ready to go to the store. I controlled myself and only kept one. Right now I have twenty six hankys listed on eBay, twelve already have bids. They end on thursday and friday, I am pleased with how well they are doing.

East Bay Depot Creative Reuse

Looks like a great place to visit and a good place to take some of my excess linens and other supplies. http://www.east-bay-depot.org/ Maybe even a field trip when our circle journal group gets together in June. What do you think?

One persons trash......

A few of my latest treasures. The blue cat was part of a lot I bought at an auction. Most of the lot ended up in the booth but this one will be living with me for awhile. Saturday I was participating in & helping with a rummage sale. My goal was to get rid of some of my "trash" but I couldn't resist buying these salt & pepper shakers.

Vintage Hankies

These hankies are from the linen "lot" I bought at the auction this past saturday. The plan was for me to get them cleaned up and put into the booth this week. But I can't part with any of them.
Shhh. don't tell Lisa. She already told the auctioneer that I'm a linen junkie!

Sorting Linens!

I spent the whole day sorting linens. My cat Bitsey figured since this pile was on HER couch, she could use them for her sunbath. In November 2006, Lisa invited me to go to an auction with her and I was hooked. I don't even want to count how many linen "lots" I have bought since that first auction. There is usually one or two pieces in a lot that I want for myself but the orignal plan was for me to sell them in the booth Lisa and I share. Unfortunately, they aren't selling well and I have piles and piles of linens. My current plan is to list them on eBay. Wish me luck!
I was sorting through my piles of vintage linens

today and my cat Bitsey figured since they were
on her couch she could lay on them! I spent all day sorting the linens I have in the house. Tomorrow I tackle the garage. I have been buying linen "lots" at auctions for a year now. There is always one or two pieces I want for myself and I have been trying to sell the rest in the booth I share with Lisa. Unfortunately, they aren't selling well. So this week I am listing
